Fabulous boutique hotel. All the staff were exceedingly courteous and helpful. Rooms have incredible views above Lake Lugano and it wasn’t an issue about not being located in the actual town itself, in fact it was a positive, with the hotel running a courtesy shuttle minibus down to the town and back 3 times daily. Restaurant absolutely wonderful with incredible food and wine choices. Bar offers an alternative more relaxed eating option either inside or outside on the lovely terrace. Would highly recommend.

"Check in was a challenge. The self service check in which I assume to be automated did not work. It was only through the help of onsite housekeeping staff that i was able to get help and check in. Room was great and stocked well."

"We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Funicolare. We stayed in a family room, which was absolutely massive, with plenty of space for all of us and a very comfortable stay. The views were amazing and really added to the experience. We also had dinner at the hotel one evening and breakfast during our stay. ..."
